NeuroStructural Chiropractic vs. Conventional Chiropractic
Conventional chiropractors focus on reducing muscular discomfort, increasing range of motion and reducing pain. This is how most chiropractors practice and they do a really good job at symptom treatment and symptom management. Often times they will incorporate utilizing physical therapy modalities like hot packs, cold packs, muscle stimulation and other devices to manage symptoms.
There are some chiropractors who pursue additional certifications and coursework, allowing them to focus on other areas of chiropractic. One of those areas is called NeuroStructural Correction. A chiropractor who focuses on NeuroStructural Correction is looking to locate Structural Shifts of the spine. Structural Shifts are often the underlying cause that leads to “symptoms”. Chiropractors, who utilize NeuroStructural Correction, refer to “symptoms” as Secondary Conditions. By performing a unique, detailed, and comprehensive NeuroStructural Examination, the NeuroStructural Chiropractor can provide precise chiropractic adjustments to correct Structural Shifts.
